The Telugu Desam president, Mr N. Chandra-babu Naidu, demanded an inquiry into the earnings of ministers since 2004.
Speaking to reporters here on Tuesday, he said that the Chief Minister, Mr K. Rosaiah, is not in a position to ta-ke action against ministers who are facing corruption charges and alleged that he is cooperating with them.
He alleged that the minister for major industries, Mr Kanna Lakshminarayana, got land in Pharma City to start an industry.
He said there are many irregularities in the Obulapuram mines lease and demanded that the government file a special le-ave petition in the Supreme Court or cancel the mines lease agreement.
Due to failure of the government, the farmers are not getting a remunerative price for their produce, he added.
He reminded that the tobacco sold at Rs 120 kg previously, is now being sold at Rs 110, and Rs 105. Similarly, farmers are not getting a remunerative price for paddy, chilli, Bengal gram, and Subabul. He demanded that the government take steps to purchase paddy, and chilli at the minimum support price.
